On Instagram, 130K of you follow me for one reason: I find good Indian fashion and tell you where to get it.
"Where is this from?"
It's the question under almost every post. I've answered it thousands of times, one DM at a time. What you're really asking is: help me find something beautiful, worth the money, that I won't see on everyone else.
So I started travelling
India is full of craft that never reaches a mall. So I go to where it's made, city by city, and bring back only what I'd wear myself. Each trip becomes a drop.

Seven hundred sarees, twenty pieces
I went through more than 700 sarees in Kolkata and said no to almost all of them. I came home with 18 sarees I couldn't leave behind, plus two Kantha dupattas.

Benares, for the festive season
Varanasi is where Banarasi weaving lives. I wandered its narrow gulleys, sat with weavers at their looms and opened bundle after bundle in old family shops, to bring you the very best sarees and suits I found.
